We are in the process of developing some Legacy specific products. Most of the parts on the Products" pages fit the Legacy with the exception of Impreza suspension kits and exhaust. Exhaust and suspension options are on the way. If considering a new or used Legacy as a performance car, the Legacy Outback, with its raised suspension should be avoided and the Legacy GT substituted in its place. Standard Legacy AWD are also a good starting point.

We have high quality Strömung exhaust kit with a stainless 80mm single exhaust tip. This bolt-on rear exhaust section has a the deep boxer sound. This unit fits the Legacy Outback and the Legacy GT bumper opening.

We have Eibach/Germany springs and a new 4 way front 8 way rear shock that makes the Legacy sedan and wagons into a very pleasant GT when combined with our 18mm rear sway bar. The short shift kit and Speedline wheels are very popular, as are the Momo leather airbag steering wheels.

There are some Japanese coil over kits for the Legacy and the Impreza, but we tend to stay away from them as they have consistently proven to be over dampened and poorly sorted when compared to the Prodrive,  STI and LEDA kits available for the Impreza. Our Eibach developed springs and adjustible shocks are a superior value.

The Legacy has much the same driving feel as the Impreza in their stock American forms and it is often the consideration of the additional room that makes one choose the Legacy over the Impreza. Adding a spring kit and sport shocks to the Legacy does make a very nice driving car as was mentioned earlier. When one begins to consider performance tuning, the difference between the two cars widens very rapidly  In this regard, when trying to make a very special performance car, we simply recommend switching to the Impreza for three reasons.

1) The Impreza has a shorter wheel base and is 200 to an astounding 500 pounds lighter in weight in the Japan bumper, aluminum hood, aluminum control arm, wind-up window, non-A/C versions. A 2600 pound Impreza has a very special feel to it that a 3100 pound Legacy will never obtain..

2) There has been so much really successful development of the Impreza that the suspension kits for the car, now particularly the LEDA coil overs, have it ranked as one of the best cars of all time. Just driving the car with the suspension and brakes setup and 110hp for the last five years has made me a happy camper.

3) The third thing is just the way that all the pieces come together on the Impreza. Every modification refines and focuses the driving qualities of the chassis. This just does not happen with the Legacy
