Please take special care when buying wheels. We find that many wheel dealers will try to sell you a 45 or 48 offset Toyota specification 5x100 wheel. We get three or four calls per month about what to do when tires rub the fender once unsuspecting customers have installed their bargain wheels. Measure twice, cut once!. Our wheels fit! SPD Tuning Service sells Speedline (Italy) and Raceline (GB) wheels. They are very strong, solid road wheels and have style. Each wheel is low pressure cast, heat treated and inspected. They are unlike to ever bend. You will bend suspension first! I know, first hand. In 87,000 miles the SPD Impreza has replaced one bent front control arm, one bent rear hub, one bent rear control arm long bolt. My five year old17x7 Speedline wheels have considerable road rash, but are still round. What else is there to say. New for 2000 Prodrive 7 by Speedline. Silver Gold and Anthracite:

For sport driving SPD Tuning Service offers Toyo Praxes T1s tires. The other recommended tires are Pirelli Pzero, the Michelin Pilot MMX3 and the Bridgestone Potenza S02. Others need not apply for the job. These first two manufactures have extensive rally experience and represent the best that can be had in road tires. The 205/50-16 Potenza is the WRX OEM tire. The Toyo works very well and we are able to sell them at a modest profit, so buy these tires! All kidding aside, the Toyo is a quite, compliant tire that was rated best all round performance tire by a German sports car magazine against all the big names. It just happens to pull some good lap times, too. For winter tires the Pirelli 210P Winter Assemetrico is highly recommended, if not so much for its snow performance as its ability on wet, cold, sandy roads. The Toyo FZ4 and Pirelli P7000 Supersport are excellent all-weather performance tires. Track Tire ProgramWe have Toyo Proxes RA1 in 205/55-16 and 205/50-15 for track days and autocross. Not really an autocross tire, the RA1 is best at the track where its smooth transition, good wear and grip hold up much better than regular street tires that can be easily damaged by too much heat. These are currently $139 each. In addition to the Raceline RL:-7 above we are now stocking the Speedline Comp 2 16x7 for track tires. This wheel is similar in style to the 2000 wheel with slightly thicker spokes. We have silver and gold only at this time.
